‘Metamorph’ was a real scale installation project. It was a group project of 2 members. The objective of this project was to design and build an installation in a public space where the people can interact with it. We proposed ‘Metamorph’ embodying a morphological shape-shifting entity into the installation product.

By adding up three frame module into a single prototype can be used as a seating element. The height can be increased to accumulate the back of the seating element for comfortable resting. Multiple elements can be used as beautiful seating and gathering outdoor furniture.

While my other team-mate worked on the mechanism of it, I worked on its human interactivity relationship. How can a simple expandable and contractible module be transformed into multi moduled seating installation.  With minimum and simplest form of mechanism, how we can characterize a new identity by interaction.
